10 Things about Myself...
1. A turtle winked at me once. I swear.
2. I'm an Australian-born-Taiwanese
3. I have really bad dust allergies. I have the most annoying sneeze attacks at the most inconvenient times.
And because dust exists everywhere, I am pretty much blowing my nose wherever I go 
4. I have minor thalassaemia = super sleepy and tired all the time
= I need to get more sleep...(like that's ever gonna' happen XD) 
5. I love romance.
But I can't stand clichés!!! 
6. I cry a lot. Like A LOT. And really easily too.
(I tear up every time I listen to the LOTR soundtrack)
7. My favourite type of music is Kpop (if you haven't already guessed that through my username...)
8. Ice cream and sorbet are my life
9. I'm 160cm tall, in the mornings that is...
10. I make this really weird "cow-mooing" noises early in the morning. On a field trip, my friend thought it was a lawnmower and went to the windows to check

4. What is a great inspiration(s)?
I find a lot of inspiration in books, movies, the music I listen to, singers/actors, some Youtubers, and of course deviantART...Nature itself, is an inspiration too! It just amazes me as to how beautiful the world can be. Real life situations are also a source of inspiration for me.
5. What is your #1 passion?
Oooohhhh that's a really hard one It would either be singing or painting. I don't have much time to develop my skills as an artist, and neither have I ever taken singing or painting lessons, so my skills are that of an amateur, but still, I really enjoy doing those things very much
6. How many languages do you know?
English is my first language, and I speak Mandarin at home, but not to a super high degree, just more conversational. I'm currently studying Japanese and French at school. I wish I knew Taiwanese because my parents always talk in Taiwanese when they're talking about me -__-
7. Ever been outside the country? Where?
Yes. I have been to Taiwan, Japan, Korea, France, Belgium and Holland. If I were to also include the places where I have stopped at to change flights, I have also been to Singapore, Malaysia and China. I'm going to France again this year in the Term 3 holidays in September on a school study tour My family and I go back to Taiwan nearly every year if we can (to visit relatives and all that).
8. Do you like choco pie xD
...never had one
9. What color are your eyes?
My eyes are "black", but technically no-one has black eyes, so I'll just say a really dark brown
10. Do you paint your nails?
Not really. I have pretty small, square shaped nails, so I have to grow them out quite long before I could paint them to make it look nice. And because I started learning to play the cello, I can't grow out my nails anymore (have to keep them short! -_-).

New Year's Resolution

Oh god. It's been WAY too long. Don't even get me started.
So I don't normally do New Year's Resolutions, but since it is New Year, I thought I'd just make a list of things that I seriously have to do
1. Go to bed earlier (seeing as it is the summer holidays, I've seriously been going to bed after midnight, and getting up after midday. Not good.)
2. Get around to uploading the artwork that I want to upload. I've been putting it off because I really wanted to upload something Hisoka related for my 44th deviation, but I've been putting off that drawing. It currently resides next to my laptop, half finished...hehe...
3. Use my holidays more productively by finishing my homework first (speaking of which I can't believe I have some. Summer holidays were the one time we never got homework!!! Guess not anymore...
) but of course I've been glued to my screen. I'm not even halfway through the stuff I want to do on the Internet, let alone other things...I still needa' catch up to the current HxH episodes, watch more Hetalia, watch more Bleach, watch more Sherlock, watch more Torchwood...
4. Paint more I finally went to buy some more canvases.
5. Exercise more T__T
Aaaaaaaaand there's heaps more, but probably not important, or else I'll go on forever.

So I've finally got round to posting another journal I promise to submit some more art soon, I've just been so busy with exams but they're finally finished! 
Now we have some sort of "post exams" timetable, with a whole heap of excursions and activity classes. Today, we just had an "Introduction to Careers". I was hoping to finally get round to having some sort of idea of what I'd do for work experience next year, but I guess not...
Anyway, so I was talking to my Mum as we drove home after school...and you could probably imagine what sort of conversation took place. She wanted me to go to our accountants' place for my work experience, but I didn't want to, as I'm not very keen on that field of work. I said that I wanted to try something out that I would more likely enjoy and gain a better experience for. But she went on and on about how there is no such thing as "following your passion", that everything the teachers tell us is all a lie, that all of that stuff about "achieving your dreams" is bullsh*t. Yep. She said that. Three times. Now I know I'm in a hell lotta' trouble when my mother swears...
Sometimes I feel that she is partially right. We have the need to think realistically and flexibly to be more employable and earn a sufficient amount of money to sustain our own lives. But I don't think that anybody should give up on their passions and aspirations completely. No one should live a life having a career that they hate. There should be some enjoyment in it to some extent.
There's nothing I can do, because every time I say something, she screams at me to "stop arguing" with her. I feel so lost and helpless. I have no idea what I can do. If I attempt to resolve this with my Mum, she'll still end up screaming and shouting at me because our views are so different. I just feel this empty sick feeling in my stomach every time I wake up not knowing what I should do in my life because I am in constant conflict with my parents. 
I'm basically one big whole heap of stress, and here I am thinking I could finally relax. Obviously not when I have my mother breathing down my neck like some bomb about to explode.

KPOP UPDATE!!!

Hellooo~~~!!! (not sure who I'm saying 'hello' to as no-one reads my journals )
So just wanted to share some of my current favourite Kpop songs! BoA's new music video "Only One" (dance version) came out just TODAY!!! www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQjovL… *dies* Lyrics and music all written by herself
and the dance was choreographed by NappyTabs (who you might know from So You Think You Can Dance). The hip hop beat with a mellow piano melody is just perfect! Most songs these days are more electro pop and upbeat, yet this song manages to have both the rhythmic dancing beat and more melodic and musical elements. BoA's voice is amazing, her vocal range is so high and fits very well with this song. Well done to BoA, gaining more international popularity!!! 
I also can't wait for COBU to come out, I've been waiting FOREVER T_T

As you might already know, I am a HUGE Kpop fan No, I'm not Korean, and I don't understand an ounce of Korean apart from "saranghaeyo" and "oppa" XD Nevertheless, I totally LOVE their music and I'm always sing along to the latest song, probably with the worst Korean pronounciation ever...
One of the reasons I love Kpop so much, isn't because of the good-looking Korean guys *ahem*. But seriously, I love Kpop because of the various talented artists and bands they have. Kpop is well-knowned for its multiple popular idol groups, both girl bands and boy bands. My favourites are Super Junior, SHINee, DBSK, EXO, CN BLUE, Boyfriend, Girls' Generation (SNSD), f(x), Wonder Girls, miss A and BoA *hehe* As you can see, for all those who already know, I'm pretty SM-biased XP (SM Entertainment is one of the "big three" record companies in Korea, the other two being YG Entertainment and JYP Entertainment).
Other popular groups include Big Bang, 2NE1, 2AM, 2PM, Kara, T-ara and Sistar. These are just a few of the billions of Kpop artists out there, ok, maybe not billions, but you know what I mean. A LOT of Kpop artists.
I love the fact that all these Kpop bands have such a strong bond between each and every member. What makes a band is each individuals' talents. Most of the time, you get a leader of the group, main and lead vocalists, main and lead rappers and "The Face" of the groups, literally meaning the visual. The balance of their talents create the perfect mix, making the group popular for many fans out there...*picking biases* XD Some bands just wouldn't be the same if a member were to leave, no matter how big or small their part is in the band, they all contribute to their succes
Ok, now's the shiz. I'll name my biases of my favourite groups, and you must answer truthfully below in the comments with the reasons why If you don't listen to Kpop, why don't you go check out some of the bands I listed? The fact that there are so many artists, and so many songs, I doubt there won't be something you won't like. Give it a try, take a new challenge, and come out of your comfort zone of "understanding a language so I'll only listen to English speaking songs" -_- I did it, and hasn't regretted it at all. I'm not saying don't listen to American music, I still do, but try something new, it's not like it'll harm you to try
Super Junior: Kyuhyun, love him in general, beautiful voice, good-looking, evil maknae XD | Siwon, I think he's pretty cute/uber good-looking, but sometimes he looks pretty weird and tacky in certain music videos -_- He just needs the correct stylists and he's perfect. | Donghae, badass boy looks | Yesung, GAWSH, his voice is AMAZING T_T
SHINee: Minho all the way~~~
DBSK: So sad that they broke up into JYJ and Homin, but nevertheless, still love all of them. Changmin is my fave, just love his skin-crawling high notes
EXO: Man, this is hard. I can't decide between EXO-K and EXO-M, love them both. For EXO-K, my biases are Baekhyun, for his badass looks and amazing vocals, Suho, sooooo cute (when I first saw him in the teasers and music videos, I was like "nup, definitely not", but seriously, in real life, he's so cute O_O Weird...) and Sehun, pretty cute as well For EXO-M, Tao is bias, I know most people like Kris, and think he's ok, but something about Tao strikes me, maybe the fact that he's a super-awesome ninja and has that aura of mysteriousness XD
CN BLUE: Jonghyun, I like Yong Hwa too, but I love listening to Jonghyun's soothing voice, and he's pretty good-looking (once again, with the right styling) XD
Boyfriend: I like Kwangmin, despite Youngmin being his twin, somehow he's more manly XP Even though the whole group is all cutesty XD
